You’re welcome and we look forward to have a exciting , dynamic and vibrant Poetry Symposium ,where Africa speaks of itself through poetry .100 Thousand Poets for Change Movement was founded 10 years ago by Editors , Poets , internationally acclaimed Artists Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion to speak change , to speak truth against racial injustice , wars , poverty , corruption , demise of human rights and gagging of human freedoms through Literary arts activism and Social Change Arts . Participating Poets are from Seira Leone , Kenya , Nigeria , South Africa , Botswana, Zambia ,Egypt and Zimbabwe .The Poetry Fete is hosted by Acclaimed Poet , Distinguished literary arts scholar and internationally renowned Jerusalem based Poetry Michael Dickel. Mbizo Chirasha has worked tirelessly with the 100 Thousand Poets for change since ints inception , a decade ago through literary arts projects GirlChildCreativity Project and the Zimbabwe We Want Poetry Campaign. AFRICAN WRITERS CARAVAN and MODERN AFRICAN POETRY present their debut special Afrikan JOURNAL of selected poets from across the African continent in this year 2020. The nine poets are prolific, fast rising and youthful voices. They have continually posted quality verses and are committed to positive change in their countries, continent and the entire world. The selection and editing have been coordinated by Veteran Kenyan Poet and MAP Founder Michael Mwangi Macharia. Poet Macharia was born and bred in Nakuru, Rift Valley of Kenya. He has contributed to many online journals and was recently featured in TIME OF THE POET REPUBLIC. Modern African Poetry and its membership enjoys collaborating with AFRICAN WRITERS CARAVAN and Zimbabwean Poet in Exile, Mbizo CHIRASHA.
